CONTENT : Ive purchased a half dozen other lasers that use AAA batteries but DONT BOTHER! They won't even come close to the durability, safetly, and intensity of this unit. I remember my old astronomy professor owned one of these around 10 years ago and we coveted it's power. He payed every bit of $80 so these must be overstock. First impression: DO I NEED EYE PROTECTION even when aiming away from me because holy wow it's the brightest laser I've ever held in my hand. You can see the dot on ground during broad daylight. Definitely at or above 5mw (the legal threshhold). This will definitely burn holes in your retina so please be very careful. NOT A TOY.

CONTENT : I've had a lot of laser pointers in the past and most of them were just cheap little gadgets that you couldn't really see in the day time with poor build quality that would just fail or burn through batteries. Not this laser. This thing is not a toy. Build quality is very solid and holy moly is it bright. I bought it to play with the cats, but I'm thinking it's too strong for that. I take it outside and I can see it light up the hills a half mile away. The beam is strong and completely visible at night. Heck, you can totally see the green dot even in the brightest sunlight.

CONTENT : One of my co-workers has this and I was using theirs, I work at the national observatory and when it comes to pointing out constellations and binocular objects, this is hands down the best, glad I finally got my own, will post pics soon :)

CONTENT : It is ridiculously bright. You can see the entire beam from laser pointer to whatever you're shining it on and it was the middle of the day so not even kind of dark. Be careful if playing with pets because it is dangerously bright.
